2060-800041 USB-SATA PCB Swap Tips
#1
There are two types of SATA PCB numbers for USB PCB 2060-800041
One is 800022-000 REV P2 and the other is 800022-002 REV P1, 800022-002 REV P1 is with hard drive WD40NPZZ-82PDPT0.

800022-002 REV P1-This SATA PCB is compatible with USB PCB number 2060-800041 of both WD30××××× and WD40××××××.

Please note that the SATA PCB number-2060-800022-000 REV P2 is compatible with the 2060-800041 of WD30**** only.

If users install 2060-800022-000 REVP2 sata PCB to WD40×××××× hard drive, the drive won’t spin up.

Users can buy Donor drive-WD40NPZZ-82PDPT0 with SATA PCB 800022-002 REV P1 at best price here.

Can we still do the regular SATA conversion by soldering or do we have to use a specially modified SATA PCB?

Hi friend,

It means if you have 800022-002, you can use it to replace 800041 both 3T and 4T, and solder original ROM.
If you need one, can place an order from our website directly.

Hi Emily

Sorry I think you misunderstood what I was asking. Sorry for that Smile

What I was asking is can we still convert these 800041 USB PCB to SATA by removing capacitors on read channel and soldering wires to SATA connector from USB PCB?

Manual soldering works for this PCB too, just be careful to protect the original PCB, specially the ROM chip.
