If P-list is damaged without backup, can the data be recovered?
#1
P-list=Primary List;
G-list-Grown List.

P-List is generated at the manufacturing factory during HDD testing, while G-List remains initially empty. During operation, a drive independently adds revealed defects to G-List.

If P-list is damaged without backup, can the data be recovered?

This depends on how other modules are damaged. Mostly we can recover data by regenerating P-list with DFL-WDII if the necessary modules used to generate P-list are not damaged.

Within our user-only forum, we teach how to regenerate Plist using different methods and teach what modules are closely connected to Plist and what modules are used to regenerate it.
