We're right now testing our new version of DFL-DE data recovery tool, it has a much better performance in imaging and recovering unstable hard drives and hard drives with a lot of bad sectors. This has made DFL-DE obviously advanced and superior over other similar disk imagers, especially due to how's priced, this tool will help data recovery engineers a lot on efficiency and success rate.
We will report on this new version day by day.

better to wait as much as required as we need a good working stable version that was tested from edge to edge.
Just one more suggestion regarding stability.
From my short experience with the DE tool I found that it crushes quite often, maybe to add a feature that save the last state of the application and restore it when we re-open the app after crush to the same position for the user.
For example if we scan Exact MFT on a bad sectored drive and it crushed after 10 minutes, we should be able to re-open the app and it will take us to the same point before the crush or will ask ask if we want to go there.
Same for all other functions, it will do a great job for the stability of the app.
Thanks,
Oded

Hello Oded,
About the stability of your DFL-DE, it's due to the hardware issue, the new hardware has been fixed on that issue and the solution emailed to you can be done when you come back to your office.
The new version has worked very stably.
Anyway, thank you very much for your suggestions.
Yours
Stanley

Hi Stanley,
thanks for your reply, will do that when I'm back in office.
Regarding the suggestion I don't know if you'll manage to think about it for the coming version but I believe it is a very good feature for every embedded system that based on hardware, as sometimes hardware faults can cause the application working with it to crush. On systems that I used to work with we used to develop a watch dog software task with the highest priority in the system which used to poll all other running tasks every x time and check that they are not stuck and if so kill this task and re-open it.
Also every time it polled the task it saved status data that can be restored if required. for example if I was scanning MFT for 15 minutes and the app crushed, during this time the progress of the scan was saved and will be restored after the app recovers.
Anyway just an Idea,
Catch up soon,
Happy new year,
Oded

Hello oded,
Yes, you are correct, status catching and records are important.
Whether it's for image, file listing or MFT scan, we have already considered this one and we will gradually add to the program.
After you get the new hardware which most users are using, you will find it very stably working and the new version of software will be available in the next two weeks or so and I believe you will like it.
Don't worry, we will manage to fix any problems users have.
Your feedback and satisfaction are our motivation to move forward.
Thank you very much for your continuing support to us.
Happy new year
Stanley

Some of Our Chinese clients are already testing the new version and we are collecting feedback and fixing some bugs and then English version will be stable with the new versions. Only if the bugs are fixed, the English version can be released immediately.
