DE is designed to have two built-in SATA ports which have higher data transfer speed than IDE ports.

Two SATA ports means two independent data channels. With DFL-DE, you can image two drives at the same time or recover the data from two drives at the same time.

There're more and more SATA drives in the hdd market now.
