Dear valued DFL customers,
15th September is 2016 Chinese Mid Autumn Day. DFL office will be closed from 9/15 to 9/17. DFL will resume working on Sunday 9/18.
Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Mooncake Day, is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calender with full moon at night.
The festival celebrates three fundamental concepts which are closely tied to one another: Gathering, such as family and friends coming together, or harvesting crops for the festival. It's said the moon is the brightest and roundest on this day which means family reunion. Thanksgiving, to give thanks for the harvest, or for harmonious unions. Praying (asking for conceptual or material satisfaction), such as for babies, a spouse, beauty, longevity, or for a good future.
The big hallmark thing in this festival is making and sharing mooncakes, traditionally. In Chinese culture, a round shape symbolizes completeness and reunion. Thus, the sharing and eating of round mooncakes among family members during the week of the festival signify the completeness and unity of families. Nowadays sending mooncakes gifts to see friends and family members are more of the common thing in China.
We wish all dolphin users a happy mooncake festival.
During the holiday, Skype and Teamviewer support will be limited and users can send any questions or enquiries to support@dolphindatalab.com and sales@dolphindatalab.com.
