My passport lost password

Hi all

i get passport WD from customer, him tell me set password 9999999 but now input invalid password

I remove rom containing password and read, but do not know where to save the password and the password is what

did anyone please help me

below is the rom file attachments (remove .txt then enter, open file with winhex)

Hello

As what i had understood, U14 only contain hardware encrytion key between USB Bridge and SATA HDD and "others stuff".

The smatware code in write on the platter, can someone confirm or correct me ?

For those Encrypted Smartware drives

1st.
U14 only contain hardware encrytion key -----> Wrong, it is Encrypted on the fly
and located else where

now as for your case here, password is set, and seems its WRONG from your client side
as you said.

then i can tell you it is possible to extract the data from it, but this is limited only (in my lab) for the Forensic Cases ONLY AND ONLY
