SA Area and User Area
#1
SA area is also called firmware area which is located before track 0; User area is also called data area which is located after track 0.

SA area and Data area are two independent but closely connected areas. SA area/firmware area is like the primary partition©, user area/data area is like the other partitions with data, for example, partition D, E, etc.

If firmware area is damaged, you may not read the data or you cannot even start the PC or it can be detected at all but the data is still there and you can manage to repair and restore the firmware damage and finally recover the data.

DFL-WDII integrates both automatic WD HDD repair solutions and open hdd repair features for experienced users to fix all possible WD hdd failures.
